Usage Guide

An overview is provided of the Report Management Module and its components. Whereas the second part covers examples and walks through scenarios to enable you to create new custom widgets efficiently.

Reports

SIRP Dashboards allow you to summarize the health of your security operations and automation data that provides a user with a definitive perspective. This type of analytics enables you to effectively keep track of and improve your security operations and incident management.

Graphs, charts, and tables included in these reports provide visual representations of data, allowing you to understand the overall picture of your security operations. Widgets

Dashboards are a combination of widgets. Your data in can be presented in several ways, including simple numeric metrics, tables, and charts.

Users can create custom reports to show data as old as a year and schedule to generate daily, weekly, and monthly.

The Report Management module will let you create your own reports to render the data you wish to view. You can add widgets, custom and out-box, desired databases,s and then and present data in a holistic format, periodically.

Creating a Custom PDF Report

To create new pdf reports follow these steps:

  • Log in to the SIRP SOAR Platform

  • The first screen you see after logging in is the Dashboards. Click on the “Report Management Module” from the bottom of the bar on the left.

  • The next screen is called “Report Management”. This page contains a list of custom reports. You can Duplicate template reports to create new ones. You can create a report by clicking on the “Create Report” button at the top or you can Duplicate them by clicking on the ellipsis to existing reports.

  • Once duplicated, locate the copy for your report, then click on the Edit option under the Actions column.

Creating a Report

  • When you click "Create Report" A canvas will appear that allows you to add and arrange out-the-box and custom widgets according to your requirements

Configuring Report Design

  • Under Design Report, the Configure button allows you to set the layout of your report.

  • You will be required to upload your Logo by clicking on Upload Image. (Please note that the uploaded image must adhere to 370 by 110 pixels)

  • Select Color

  • Select Cover

  • Set Report Name and Title page

  • Fill in the optional fields and then click Save

Report Type

  • Report Type can be selected from the drop-down menu.

Setting Date Range

  • Date Range allows you to specify the date and time of a range of information displayed. The time range can be weekly, monthly, yearly, and custom.

Schedule a Report

  • Click on Configure under Report Scheduling

  • and then click on Create Schedule

Fill the form with respective details and click Save

  • Recipients: <To whom the report has been sent>

  • Email Subject

  • Email Content

  • Frequency: <Define how often the report is sent to recipients>

  • Date Ranges: <Define the time range of the report being sent>

Widget Library

  • The Widget Library allows you to add out-of-the-box and custom widgets to the report

  • To add a widget to the report, simply hover on the widget name, and click the Add button that appears next to the widget.

  • The Widget can be resized and repositioned when it appears on the canvas

  • By clicking Preview you can see how the report would appear.

  • Once the report is finalized, click Save Changes to save.

Creating an Excel Report:

To create a new Excel report follow these steps:

  • Every module now has a Saved Search button. It can be used to create Excel Reports as they appear in table.

  • Click Saved Search, give your search a name, and click Save.

  • The saved search will appear in Report Managment. Click on the ellipsis in the Actions Column. Select the Scheduler button from the popout to create a schedule for when the report to sent out.

  • The Scheduler can create one or multiple schedules for when the report is to be sent out. Click the Create Schedule button to start. And then follow the same steps as to schedule for the PDF report.
