About Symantec Messaging Gateway

Supported Actions
SIRP’s Symantec messaging gateway integration app allows you to execute the following actions:

1 | BLOCK EMAIL | Add the sender's email to the blocklist |
2 | GET PHISHING EMAILS | Query SMG on the basis of the given Subject & Sender to search for multiple parameters related to Phishing email |
SMG Configuration:
Create a dedicated user in SMG, whose credentials will be used in the Integration with SIRP.

Enable the Symantec Messaging Gateway app in SIRP
First log in to SIRP, then go to Apps from the left navigation bar.
Locate the app named Symantec Messaging Gateway.
Enable the app by clicking on the toggle button under the status column.
Once you enable the App, click the configure option to integrate SIRP with Symantec Messaging Gateway
Add the following details and save:
Configuration name<Name to identify the configuration>
URL <SMG URL>
Username <Username of SMG user with all required privileges>
Password <Password of the user>
